As first learned in a Joey Styles Exclusive video on WWE.com, Women’s Champion Mickie James will defend her title against both Beth Phoenix and Melina in a Triple Threat Match at Judgment Day.
Melina and The Glamazon have been after Mickie’s title since she earned it when she pinned Beth on Raw. Neither one has found a way to stop the Women’s Champion, though. In fact, their common desire to hold the Divas’ top prize has caused a lack of success on their part.
One week prior to the night the match was made, Melina allegedly accidentally hit Beth with a boot. Tensions between the two Divas only escalated afterward, as The Glamazon abandoned Melina when they teamed up to take on Mickie & Maria on Raw. The ensuing confrontation in the locker room led to an all-out brawl that required three people to break up.
Beth and Melina have not been able to work together toward a common goal, to date. It’s clear that it will be every Diva for herself when Mickie aims to continue her recent run of success and retain her gold at Judgment Day.
We're live and the lights are out. Lights on and William Regal is in the ring. Lillian Garcia is there and sings "God Save The Queen!" Ha, I love it! Regal disapproves of the fans' disrespect. He's General Manager and King and could have them thrown out if he wants. He's not bluffing. He picks on a random couple and has them thrown out. Mickie James is here and says it's her brother and his girlfriend. "Regal sucks!" Joe Lewis arena. Regal threatens to throw Mickie out too. She pleads her case and he threatens to strip her of her championship. John Cena is in the house! He sends Mickie to the back and gets a mic.
Later in the night....
Cena was getting a cup of coffee when Mickie James walked over to thank him for the opening segment with Regal. Cena said it's cool. She then asked if he wanted to go out with her, her brother, and her brother's girlfriend afterward. Cena went into robot mode and said he has a commitment to his job, which includes staying focused on Orton tonight and Judgment Day on Sunday. Mickie wasn't sure how to take that, so Cena broke robot character and said of course he's good for going out for drinks later. He warned things get wild with him sometimes. Mickie said she can do wild. Cena said that's cool, then Mickie walked off to prepare for a match up next. Interesting.
Mickie James & Maria vs. Melina & Beth Phoenix
Maria and Melina start things off and Maria with a gingerly placed gutbuster. Mickie tags in and they hit a double split let trip followed by a drop kick by Mickie. Beth breaks up the cover and then Mickie Irish whips Melina into Beth. Melina with a kick to Mickie followed by a cover for a near fall. Melina wants to tag in Beth, but Beth walks away. Mickie hits a neck breaker for the three count as Beth walks away.
Winners: Mickie James & Maria

Monday, May 12: Women’s Champion Mickie James kicks it off on National Women’s Check-Up Day (May 12) with her advice
First, you have to love yourself because if you don’t, then how do you expect anyone else to love you?
Second, I would say for everyone, it’s important to be healthy. I’m big on going green right now, so try to recycle and be as environmentally friendly as possible.
I think that exercise is amazing for anyone and everyone. And people make a lot of excuses not to, like, “Oh, I don’t have time.” Well, you have to make time. I don’t often have the time, but I make it.
Even if you don’t want to go to the gym, just go for a run around your block or take your dog for a walk. Just go outside. Outdoors is the best environment to exercise in because the air is fresh and clean, and you can run around. I go to the gym sometimes and do an hour of cardio, and I break a sweat, but it’s not the same as if I run outside. I run outside for ten minutes and I’m dripping sweat. It’s totally different for your body and you can embrace this beautiful earth at the same time.
Thanks to Rob for allowing me to share these scans enjoy!
Believe, I think you should always believe in yourself and trust in those around you. Believe in your friends
A Champion’s thoughts on a tragedy
When Mickie James isn’t defending her Women’s Championship in the Raw ring, she’s often at home in Virginia with her prized horses. When Diva Dish watched the Eight Belles tragedy unfold at the Kentucky Derby last weekend, we decided to talk to WWE’s resident equine expert about the filly’s untimely death after her runner-up finish on the track.
“I’m not against competitive racing. I obviously grew up with horses. I’ve had to put horses down on the farm before and it’s very, very sad,” James said.

I went to a House Show in Barrie, Ontario this past Sunday and got to the arena five hours before the show started so I could hopefully meet Mickie again. To make a long story short, we waited for about three hours until Mickie pulled in with Maria. I'd say there were close to 100 people waiting. Mickie started at one end of the gates and made her way through the whole crowd, stopping for whoever called her or held something out for her to sign. She was also taking pictures with whoever asked. It was very cold outside because the wind was so strong, Mickie ended up staying outside longer than Maria did, I'd say she was out for a good 15-20 minutes.
